Elderly & Disabled Transportation Programs |

On January 4, 2000 the DVTA began serving
seniors (aged 60 and over) and ADA-defined disabled residents of the
Deerfield Valley with free door to door transportation to adult day care,
meal sites, medical appointments, and shopping. It's
free, simple and fun!!! There are three options:
The DVTA serves residents from Halifax, Readsboro, Wilmington, Dover, Whitingham and Wardsboro. Simply call Jan Terk at 464-8487 Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm for further information. Some trips are to scheduled destinations on set days of the week, while some trips can be tailored for individual needs. Some restrictions will apply based on demand. Rides for dialysis and chemotherapy patients are usually done by volunteer drivers who are reimbursed for their mileage. To sign up as a volunteer or to request a ride call Jan Terk at 464-8487.
