Southeast Vermont Transit (SEVT) is one of Vermont’s seven designated public transit operators serving 34 Windham and southern Windsor towns. We provide fixed route, microtransit, Medicaid, Olders & Disabled, and ADA paratransit rides by bus, van, and volunteer.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) position is a very responsible one. We are not seeking a candidate with transit experience as much as we are seeking a people person who can maintain our team atmosphere, who can motivate and lead by example, and can communicate. We will teach the right candidate all about the transit business, but what we really need is a person with the right people skills who can embody what we have built here.
Our hiring process for considering people for this position requires interested applicants to complete a short employment application, attach their resume, and complete two personality questionnaires online. We will select candidates to proceed to either a personal or Zoom interview. We will not be answering questions via phone, e-mail, or in person except to direct applicants to this website.
