MOOver ENDING SERVICE ON TWO ROUTES JUNE 13TH

Release Date: June 9, 2025

WILMINGTON:  The MOOver reminds riders that the Brattleboro Microtransit service and the Wilmington-Bennington service ends Friday night, June 13th.

As previously announced in March, Southeast Vermont Transit (SEVT) was asked to reduce expenses for the coming year as part of a statewide plan to cut $1.5 million from this year’s spending. Three routes – Brattleboro Microtransit, East-Dover-Wilmington, and Wilmington-Bennington – were eliminated. Six other routes had hours cut but are still operating – Wilmington-West Dover, Wilmington-Brattleboro, Mount Snow Base Area, Bellows Falls-Ludlow, Bellows Falls-Lebanon, and Brattleboro shopping trips.

“We realize how these necessary changes impact people’s quality of life,” said Randy Schoonmaker, SEVT CEO. “But the reality is there’s not enough funding to keep up with the rising cost of providing transportation.”

No further schedule or route changes are planned in the foreseeable future.
