MOOver SCHEDULES MICROTRANSIT MEETINGS FOR APRIL 9TH

Release Date: April 2, 2024

BRATTLEBORO:  There will be two public informational meetings held on April 9th about the new Brattleboro Microtransit service.

At 11:00 am and 4:00 pm meetings will be held in the Select Board Meeting Room in the Brattleboro Municipal Center. MOOver staff will provide an overview of the new MicroMOO2 service, as well as walking riders through the online and phone app ride reservation process. The 11:00 am meeting will be taped for later broadcast by Brattleboro Community Television.

The new service starts April 15th and runs Monday-Friday 5:00 pm-11:30 pm. It is free and provides rides within the Brattleboro town limits. Reservations are required, and riders cannot hail the vehicle on the street. Reservations can be made on the QRyde phone app, the QRyde computer portal, or by calling the SEVT Office Monday-Friday 7:45 am-5:00 pm.

The MicroMOO2 is sponsored by a $100,000 grant from the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation and $24,000 from the Town of Brattleboro’s Human Services Fund. There is currently enough funding to run through February 2025. The MOOver is seeking longer-term funding from the Vermont Agency of Transportation.

Ride requests will begin to be accepted on April 12th. For more information go to www.moover.com/brattleboro-microtransit/ .
