SEVT RELAXES COVID PROTOCOLS EXCEPT FOR MASK WEARING

WILMINGTON:  COVID protocols are being relaxed in all SEVT and volunteer vehicles as a result of Governor Scott’s lifting of the state of emergency June 13th.

Effective immediately, there is no social distancing or capacity limits in all SEVT and volunteer vehicles. Air conditioning will be allowed as well.

“Although we welcome the Governor’s announcement today, please remember that masks are still required for drivers and riders on all SEVT vehicles” said Randy Schoonmaker, SEVT CEO. “Public transit is governed by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) and the US Department of Transportation which still require face coverings be worn on all public transit vehicles through September 15th. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Interior vehicle surfaces will continue to be disinfected at least weekly.

“We thank all of our staff and riders who have been incredibly cooperative with our policies” said Schoonmaker. “We look forward to these comforts and to the day when masks will no longer be required.”
