            WILMINGTON: The MOOver is recruiting a new Chief Operating Officer following previously announced retirement and promotions.

            With the June 30, 2026, retirement of CEO Randy Schoonmaker, current COO Christine Howe is being promoted to that position on July 1, 2026. Recruiting has begun to find Howe’s replacement as COO.

            The position is being advertised until December 14, 2025, at which point applicants will be screened and interviewed. Starting around February 2, 2026, the selected staff member will be trained until he/she/they assume the COO responsibilities on July 1, 2026.

            Transit experience is a plus but not required. The company is looking for people and leadership skills and will train the necessary transit skills.  The position pays $75,000-85,000 plus a company car and excellent benefits.
